Not to be negative or anything but I cant help but think that that's the lgbt stuff we got for this volume, and probably for another volume at least too, I know that we hyped ourselves up for it to be someone relevant (most likely someone from team rwby) but I don't know... I just don't want another show were important people are always straight or revelead to be lgbt right at the end (adventure time and lok) (1/2)
And so even if Im really happy Jaune’s sister is gay, I’m also really tired of us being always just side characters that dont have much relevance/disappear after a while/or being considered so taboo that they only show some hints right at the end of the show and confirm it afterwards. Don’t feel sorry anon, I’m always happy to get messages especially if heartfelt like yours. I don’t have psychic powers of clairvoyance, but I can assure you, we’re gonna get some big rep by the end of the volume.
I don’t know if I can say I understand you (that’s a private matter to me, I’m still kinda figuring it out) but I promise you won’t be let down. A rather big part of the fandom (and pretty vocal if I may add) knows that M&K won’t let them down, and I trust them.

I personally think David Cage’s writing is abhorrent and his storylines are trash, DBH in particular is very distasteful to me since I’m an American and the whole premise of an entire race of “humans” being slaves and fighting for their freedom is pretty iffy (I only bring up being American because I recently learned people from other countries tend to like DBH more than Americans due to them not having as much of a deep-rooted experience with slavery, civil rights movements in particular). A lot of the story has themes cherry-picked from American civil rights moments and I find it personally very uncomfortable to watch how he treats them in his writing. Cage has proven himself as a pretty bad writer in the past as well, seeing how he is on record telling people not to play Heavy Rain twice due to the fact that its story is rife with plot holes and makes absolutely no sense once you play it to the end.
In all honesty, though, a bad story I could absolutely forgive- what really makes me dislike DBH (and all of Cage’s games in general) is the fact that Cage himself is an awful and disgusting man, and I hardly even know where to begin. Beyond 2 Souls and Heavy Rain both feature rape-y scenes with vulnerable women fighting/running away from creepy men trying to assault them. His obsession with Ellen Page is absolutely ridiculous. The model he made of her in Beyond 2 Souls is actually fully naked, something that he did without her consent. He had a fucking photo album of pictures of her ranging from the age of eight to her as an adult, before he had met her. Here’s an article of all sorts of other weird sex things in his games + sources for the Ellen Page things. There are plenty of allegations of sexual harassment, homophobia, and racism that take place in his office and seeing how he writes his games, it does not surprise me in the slightest.
For some reason not a whole lot of people seem to be aware of just how shitty David Cage is. Y’all are free to like his games and writing, just keep in mind that a lot of the questionable content in his games aren’t just there for the sake of being “artistic” or whatever. Dude’s a real piece of work.
